Helping you counter bullying and harassment in the workplace

Your career is valuable to you and there may be times in your working life when you are made to feel that you are being victimised, either by your direct line manager or a colleague.  This can lead you to become upset and angry.

Ormrods may be able to help you work through this challenging period of your career.  We have a lot of experience of representing clients who have found themselves in this situation.  We are also extremely sympathetic as to the effect it can have on you in terms of your health, family, wealth and general well being.

Bullying and harassment in the workplace is not at all unusual, but it can be very difficult to both define and prove.

As there is no legal definition of bullying, we need to establish from what you tell us whether you are being bullied or harassed at work, and yet if that is how you feel, then in all probability there is some form of case to answer.

It always helps if you have been able to make a note of what has happened to you, especially at the time of each occurrence.  It is possible that you may have a claim for damages, rehabilitation treatment, or resultant loss of wages or annual leave.

If you wish to pursue a case for bullying or harassment by your employer or a fellow employee, Ormrods can give you all the support and legal advice you need.  You can then make a more informed decision on whether you want to proceed with a claim against your employer.

We will discuss costs with you at the outset but we can usually offer you a ‘no win, no fee’ agreement which means our fees are fixed at an agreed percentage of any damages or compensation you receive.

We are happy to talk through your situation by telephone or meet with you face to face.  Call us today on 01253 850777 or email
